ISS crew in "working mood" after news of U.S. rocket blast - MCC

KOROLYOV, Moscow region. June 29 (Interfax-AVN) - The crew at the International Space Station (ISS) has been informed about the failed launch of the U.S. rocket Falcon 9 with the Dragon cargo ship, the situation on board the station is normal, the Russian Mission Control Center told Interfax-AVN.

"The cosmonauts and astronauts have been informed about the accident. They are in a working mood," a source said.

There are sufficient supplies of food, water and oxygen at the station, he said.

"They have a several months' food supply. Water and oxygen at the station are being produced by special equipment. So there are no problems here," the source said.

It was reported earlier that after the loss of Russia's Progress cargo spacecraft in the spring of 2015, the international ISS crew went into a resource-saving mode.

The current ISS crew consists of Gennady Padalka and Mikhail Korniyenko, both Russian, and Scott Kelly, an American.
