DONETSK. June 29 (Interfax) - The self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic has asked coordinators of subgroups of the Trilateral Contact Group promoting peace in eastern Ukraine to reschedule their meeting from July 2 to July 7.
"We are technically incapable of sending our representatives to a meeting on [July] 2. We have informed coordinators of the subgroups that we are asking to reschedule the meeting for [July] 7. It would be expedient to convene all subgroups simultaneously with the Contact Group on [July] 7 as planned," DPR chief negotiator in Minsk Denis Pushilin told reporters.
Discussing the agenda of the July 7 meeting of the Contact Group, he said, "The security subgroup is preparing to sign a document on the pullout of heavy armaments with calibers smaller than 100mm; also, demilitarization of Shyrokyne will be discussed."
"As to the humanitarian subgroup, it will be speaking about the 'all for all' exchange and the amnesty bill. And the economic subgroup will confer on rebuilding water supply infrastructures and other economic siege sub-items," the DPR negotiator said.
Pushilin doubted the possibility of resolving the Shyrokyne demilitarization problem at the July 7 meeting.
"There are some disagreements about Shyrokyne. I very much doubt that something can be done on [July] 7. Yet the discussion will continue," the DPR negotiator said.
