Armenian police not intending to disperse protestors in central Yerevan for now

YEREVAN. June 29 (Interfax) - It is hoped that protestors will leave Bagramian Avenue in central Yerevan, Armenian police said.

"We do not want to take any action. They will leave themselves," Yerevan deputy police chief Col. Valery Osipian told reporters on Monday.

Armenian police chief Vladimir Gasparian is at Bagramian Avenue.

For the first time in the past week a total of about 200 people have gathered at Bagramian Avenue, while during previous days several thousand people came to the avenue by 7 p.m. Yerevan time.
