LPR leader accuses Kyiv of provocations, claims being committed to Minsk accords

LUHANSK. June 30 (Interfax) - The leader of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), Igor Plotnitsky, thinks the Ukrainian authorities are provoking the DPR (Donetsk People's Republic) and LPR into launching hostilities.

"Today, Ukrainian is increasingly provoking both the DPR and us to respond because they ran out of arguments, and the only way out for them, both economical and political one, is to start a war," Plotnitsky said, according to the Luhansk Information Center.

The LPR leader stressed that his republic will comply with the Minsk agreements despite all the provocations. "What happens now is just provocations, which are extremely painful and unpleasant for us, but the sake of salvation and for the sake of resolving the conflict peacefully, we will comply with the Minsk agreements," he said.

The LPR leader added that he expects the same compliance from Kyiv. "If we want to resolve this issue peacefully, this is only way for us to resolve it," Plotnitsky said.
