"Police is the only state body which has the lawful right to use physical force. We have to discuss whether this force was rightful. I sent the materials to the special investigative service to probe in order to answer all questions. Materials are being prepared there now," Armenian Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan told reporters on Wednesday.

Early on June 23 the law enforcement authorities dispersed protestors rallying against the increase of energy tariffs. According to the information of police, 237 protestors were detained.
