DONETSK. July 2 (Interfax) - The leadership of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) has not ruled out the possibility of allowing the United States to contribute to a peaceful settlement process in Ukraine's eastern regions, but insists that this will require a collective decision to be adopted by all participants in the trilateral Contact Group.
"We all see that the U.S. is influencing decisions, including those made in Europe. That is why we call on this authoritative state to step in and have its say. Nevertheless, a decision whether to include the U.S. in this format will be adopted collectively with all participants in the Contact Group," LPR People's Council Speaker Alexei Karyakin told reporters.
