MOSCOW. July 6 (Interfax-AVN) - The crash of a Sukhoi Su-24M frontline bomber was most likely caused by a technical defect in the aircraft, a source in regional military authorities told Interfax-AVN on Monday.
"According to preliminary reports from the air crash scene, the bomber crashed because of an equipment failure," the source said.
"Whether it was an engine surge or a control system issue will be clear after the deciphering of the flight recorders," the source said.
