Resolution of many issues in Middle East depends on settling Israeli-Palestinian conflict asap - ambassador

MOSCOW. July 7 (Interfax) - Issues in Middle East, including radicalism, rise from the unresolved Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanaei told reporters on Tuesday.

Many problems in modern world and in Middle East occur because the Palestinian issue has not been resolved, the ambassador said. Radicalism roots are in the unresolved Palestinian topic, he said.

The Palestinian topic is an important element of contemporary Islamic world and resolution of many problems comes back to settling the Palestinian issues, Sanaei said.

Iran cooperates with Russia on Middle East and holds different consultations, the ambassador said.

The positive role of Russia in resolving Middle Eastern issues should be noted and Moscow is to be thanked for this, Sanaei said.
