Peskov: Putin orders Defense Ministry to give full assistance to servicemen hurt in army barrack collapse near Omsk

MOSCOW. July 13 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered condolences to the families and friends of servicemen killed in the collapse of a part of a barrack in the Omsk region and the entire Russian Armed Forces, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov has said.

'The Supreme Commander-in-Chief is receiving reports of the defense minister on progress of the rescue works; the minister has been ordered to give full medical assistance to the victims of this accident; the Defense Ministry reports are submitted to the president on a regular basis," he said.

According to the latest information, the accident in the Omsk region killed 18 people; 19 are staying at hospital, and five are being searched for.
