DUSHANBE. July 15 (Interfax) - Tajik President Emomali Rahmon has called the successful completion of negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program a victory of human wisdom, the Tajik president's press service said on Wednesday.
"I heard the news about the achievement of an agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the P5+1 group regarding your nuclear program with huge joy and exultation," the press service has quoted the message sent by Rahmon to his Iranian colleague Hassan Rouhani as saying.
In the opinion of the Tajik president, "the victory of constructive thinking in this issue is truly a victory of human wisdom which will definitely meet the interests of both the fraternal Iran and the entire region."
"[The agreements] will provide a quiet life, development, progress, a wonderful future and clear skies to entire humanity," Rahmon opined.
He wished the people of Iran peace, tranquility and prosperity.
Iran is close to Tajikistan by its language and culture. The Tajik language is a variation of the Persian language (Farsi). Iranian investment in the electric power sector and transportation infrastructure of Tajikistan has long topped tens of millions of U.S. dollars.
