ZHUKOVSKY (Moscow region). Aug 26 (Interfax-AVN) - The $4 billion claim filed by Iran against Russia for the non-delivery of S-300 air defense missile systems is not an impediment to a new contract, a source with knowledge of the situation told Interfax-AVN at the MAKS 2015 aerospace show on Wednesday.
"The sides have agreed that the claim filed by Iran vs. Rosoboronexport with the Geneva court to demand a cancellation penalty of almost $4 billion will be withdrawn," the source said.
He said the agreement was reached during a visit of Iranian Defense Minister Hosein Dehqan to Moscow in April of this year.
