Rosoboronexport expects its contract portfolio for air defense systems to grow - CEO (Part 2)

ZHUKOVSKY (Moscow region). Aug 26 (Interfax) - Russian air defense systems enjoy steady demand all over the world, and the Russian state weapons export monopoly Rosoboronexport's contract portfolio for such systems is expected to grow, Rosoboronexport CEO Anatoly Isaikin told journalists on Wednesday.

"Rosoboronexport's contract portfolio for Russian air defense systems exceeds $9 billion and will be growing in the short term," Isaikin said.

"Our foreign partners, seeing what is happening in the world, want to be reliably protected from primary threats from the air, and Rosoboronexport is ready to offer advanced air defense sets and systems of all classes and efficient electronic warfare devices," Isaikin said at the MAKS 2015 international air show.

Russian air defense systems are "a credible deterring factor against any external aggression," he said.

"There is a reason why supplies of Russian air defense systems are always the focus of Western media outlets," he said.
