MINSK. Aug 26 (Interfax) - The Trilateral Contact Group for Ukraine has started a meeting in Minsk, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry reports.
"The parties' representatives to the Trilateral Contact Group have started a meeting in Minsk," the ministry said via its official Twitter account.
Meanwhile, Darya Olifer, a spokesperson for former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma, who represents Kyiv in the Trilateral Contact Group, said he had met with Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei upon arriving in Minsk. "Before the Trilateral Contact Group's meeting in Minsk, Leonid Kuchma met with Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei. During the conversation, the two talked about the organizational aspects of the Trilateral Contact Group's work," Olifer said on Facebook.
