Putin discusses mitigating impact of EU migration crisis on Russia with permanent members of Russian Security Council

MOSCOW. Sept 7 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has held an emergency meeting with permanent members of the Security Council of the Russian Federation on Monday, Dmitry Peskov, the presidential spokesman, has said.

"Topics of the current agenda of domestic and international policies have been discussed," he said.

"Participants have exchanged their opinions on measures aimed at mitigating a negative impact on Russia that the situation in migration currently prevailing in European countries may have," Peskov said.
