Ukrainian authorities ban flights of Russian airline companies, including Aeroflot and Transaero

KYIV. Sept 25 (Interfax) - The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine have made the decision in accordance with the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine to ban flights to Ukraine of Russian airline companies, including Aeroflot and Transaero, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said.

"We have made the decision to ban flights by Russian airlines, first and foremost by Aeroflot and Transaero to Ukraine, the government said on Twitter quoting Yatsenyuk at a cabinet meeting.

Additionally, according to the government's press service, Ukraine is also banning transit flights of Russian airline companies through Ukrainian airspace, "if they contain military combat equipment, duel purpose equipment, or, Russian military personnel," he said.
