Russian, Turkish experts continue consultations to prevent air incidents on Syrian-Turkish border

MOSCOW. Oct 7 (Interfax) - Russian and Turkish experts continued their consultations on Wednesday to prevent air incidents on the Syrian-Turkish border, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov told Interfax.

"Early this morning at the Russian National Defense Management Center experts of the Russian Defense Ministry continued their working consultations with Turkish colleagues to apply an air incident prevention mechanism for the Syrian-Turkish border," he said.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry said that a Russian military plane breached the Turkish airspace at 12:08 p.m. on October 3 but "departed from the airspace towards Syria after two F-16 fighters of the Turkish Air Force had been sent to intercept it."
