MOSCOW. Oct 9 (Interfax-AVN) - The crews of the attack helicopters Mi-35 Krokodil have destroyed a simulated illegal military groups' base during an exercise in the Krasnodar Territory, the headquarters of the Southern Military District has reported.
"The maneuvers involved up to ten Mi-35 helicopters," the press service for the Southern Military District said in a report obtained by Interfax-AVN on Friday.
The guided missile launch destroyed "over ten units of military equipment, several weapons caches and infrastructure facilities of the 'militants' field camp, and over twenty guided missiles were launched on targets located at a distance of up to five kilometers," the press release says.
According to the training scenario, a training camp to train subversive and intelligence groups was created in a forest of one of the southern regions of Russia.
According to the reconnaissance information received via drones, a concentration of a hypothetical enemy's motor and armored vehicles was found.
"The Mi-35 crews, which used reconnaissance data, launched missiles at the positions of the illegal groups, destroying over ten units of military equipment, several weapons caches and infrastructure facilities of the militants' training camp," the Southern Military District headquarters has reported.
