MOSCOW. Oct 22 (Interfax) - Ukrainian government forces violated a ceasefire by shelling an area near the Volvo Center on the northwestern outskirt of Donetsk late on Wednesday, Ivan Prykhodko, the head of the Kuibyshevsky district of Donetsk, told the Donetsk news agency.
"Ukrainian government forces opened fire at about 11:00 p.m., and the shelling ended at about midnight," Pryhodko said.
He suggested that the Ukrainian armed forces might be seeking "to disrupt the ongoing withdrawal of weapons."
It had been reported earlier that one militiaman had been killed and another one wounded as the Volvo Center had been shelled on October 20.
The press center of the Kyiv-based headquarters of the military operation in eastern Ukraine had said earlier on Thursday that the previous night had passed quietly in Donbas.
