DPR plans to exchange member of Ukrainian nationalist battalion for militiaman (Part 3)

DONETSK. Oct 30 (Interfax) - The self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Ukraine are preparing to exchange POWs.

"We are now preparing to exchange prisoners using the 'one for one' scheme. We are giving away a representative of a nationalist battalion in exchange for a militiaman, he is in serious condition and may need hospitalization," Viktor Anosov, the head of the DPR military police, told Interfax.

He said the exchange will take place near the populated area of Maryinka on neutral territory.

It was later reported that the militia will hand over to Ukraine Orest Petrishin, a warrant officer of the sanitary unit of the National Guard.

He told reporters on Friday that he had been captured in Debaltseve. "The living conditions in the DPR were satisfactory. I have spent nine months there. I am from Lviv," the POW said.

A representative of DPR human rights ombudsman Darya Morozova told reporters that Ukraine will give a captured militiaman from Shyrokyne.

"He was captured on January 23, 2015. He comes from Shyrokyne," he said.
