Russia's Almaz-Antey to present S-400 Triumf air defense missile system, advanced radars at Dubai Air Show 2015

MOSCOW. Nov 5 (Interfax-AVN) - The Almaz-Antey air defense concern will present around 20 specimens of civil and military produce at the Dubai Air Show 2015 international aerospace exhibition, which will open in the city of Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, on November 8, the concern's press service said.

"Visitors of the exhibition will be able to familiarize themselves with already well-known and well-proven products of the concern, such as the S-400 Triumf long-range air defense missile system, Buk-M2E medium-range air defense missile systems and shorter-range weapons of the Tor family," says a statement received by Interfax-AVN on Thursday.

The common exposition of the concern will also feature advanced products not earlier demonstrated at the Dubai Air Show: the 55Zh6UME mobile three-dimensional radar of medium and high altitudes of the stand-by mode and the 55Zh6ME multifunctional radar complex, as well as 1L122E and 1L121E radars.

"Currently the Middle Eastern region is one of the most promising markets for Russian air defense systems. The participation of the concern in the Dubai Air Show is aimed at heightening the interest of regional countries in buying military produce and increasing the foreign trade volume of the concern," the press service quoted Almaz-Antey Deputy Director-General for foreign economic activity Vyacheslav Dzirkaln as saying.

During the air show specialists of the concern are planning to hold several meetings with foreign partners, he said.

Four subsidiaries of the concern will participate in its common exposition at the forthcoming air show: the Almaz research-and-production association, the Nizhny Novgorod Scientific-Research Radio Engineering Institute federal research-and-production center, the Izhevsk-based Kupol radio-mechanical plant and the Ulbinsk metallurgical plant, the press service said.

The Almaz-Antey air defense concern is one of the largest integrated associations of the Russian military and industrial complex. The concern is ranked 11th in the rankings of the 100 largest companies of the military and industrial complex in the world, which include Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman, BAE Systems, Thales, EADS, IAI. More than 50 countries are armed with the concern's produce.
