DONETSK. Nov 12 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Armed Forces again opened fire on Donetsk airport on Thursday, a source in the Defense Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has said.
"The Ukrainian armed forces have been shelling militia positions at the airport since 9:00 a.m. The adversary has been using 82mm and 120mm mortars, as well as automatic grenade launchers and small arms," the source was quoted as saying on Thursday by the Donetsk news agency.
For its part, the press center of the Ukrainian army operation in Donbas has reported that mortars and small arms were used against the Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions in eastern Ukraine overnight into Thursday. In particular, 82mm mortars were fired on the Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions near the village of Trekhizbenka, Luhansk region.
The press service of the Kyiv-appointed military-civilian administration of the Luhansk region, for its part, said that the Ukrainian army's joint checkpoint in Trekhizbenka had come under mortar fire on Wednesday evening.
