MOSCOW. Nov 16 (Interfax) - Russian diplomats met with a number of Syrian opposition members in Vienna on Saturday.
"We had contacts in Vienna. There were various opposition groups there," Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, who is the Russian president's special representative on the Middle East and North Africa, told reporters on Sunday.
It was reported that a multilateral ministerial meeting on Syria was held in Vienna a day earlier but at this stage neither Syrian opposition representatives, nor Damascus officials attended it.
