DPR, Ukrainian representatives exchange prisoners

DONETSK. Nov 16 (Interfax) - A prisoner exchange according to the "two for two" formula took place on a neutral territory in Donbas on Sunday, an Interfax correspondent has reported from the site.

The exchange took place between the checkpoints in the populated area of Maryinka and the populated area of Oleksandrovka in the presence of OSCE monitors.

Another Emergency Situations Ministry official remains detained on the Ukrainian side, the DPR has reported, Alexei Kostrubitsky, the head of the DPR Emergency Situations Ministry, told reporters.

The DPR earlier said they were exchanging two Ukrainian Emergency Situations Ministry officials for two DPR Emergency Situations Ministry officials.

A DPR Emergency Situations Ministry official said one of the Ukrainian Emergency Situations Ministry officials that the DPR is handing over to Ukraine has stayed in the DPR since December 30, 2014 and the second one has stayed in the DPR for the past 1.5 months.

Ukraine, for its part, is handing over to the DPR two Emergency Situations Ministry lieutenant-colonels and an Emergency Situations Ministry official from Makiyivka, who were detained at Ukrainian checkpoints, the DPR Emergency Situations Ministry has reported.
