Putin meets with Turkish president on G20 summit sidelines

ANTALYA. Nov 16 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan have met in Antalya on the G20 summit sidelines.

Putin and Erdogan shook hands and asked the press to leave.

Shortly before his meeting with the Turkish president, Putin spoke with German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel.

The working dinner of G20 leaders lasted for about three hours instead of the planned 90 minutes.

The meeting with Erdogan was the final event of the first day of the Russian president's visit to Turkey.
