UIMC to supply over 100 radio sets for Russian newest armored vehicles in 2015

MOSCOW. Nov 16 (Interfax-AVN) - United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation (UIMC) will deliver more than 130 radio sets for Russia's prospective armored vehicles, including BTR-MDM Rakushka armored personnel carriers and Taifun-K armored vehicles, before the end of this year, the UIMC press service reports.

"These are modern digital communication systems developed and manufactured by our Sozvezdie Concern and the Ryazan Radio Plant," says the report seen by Interfax-AVN on Monday.

The corporation has delivered 60 communication sets for Kurganmashzavod; they will be mounted on various vehicles such as BMP-3 and BTR-MDM Rakushka armored personnel carriers, the report said. Another 70 radio sets will be delivered this year to KamAZ company for being mounted on Taifun-K modern armored vehicles.

Similar systems will be mounted on other types of modern military hardware - command, command-and-staff and combat vehicles, among them next-generation tanks Armata, infantry combat vehicles and armored personnel carriers Kurganets-25 and armored personnel carriers Bumerang.
