ANTALYA. Nov 16 (Interfax) - Russian pipe plants will supply more than half of the pipes for the third and fourth lines of the Nord Stream trunk pipeline (Nord Stream II), Gazprom (MOEX: GAZP) head Alexei Miller told journalists in Antalya.
"Before the end of the year, the shareholders of Nord Stream II will consider the business plan, a tender on pipe supplies will be held, the Russian volume of supplies will be more than half, and this is connected with the fact that in the construction of the Nord Stream I gas pipeline we did not chose the quota that was presented to Russia, as the shareholder who owns 51% of the company. The results of the tender will be published before the end of 2015," he said.
"Gazprom began the construction of the new trunk gas pipeline Ukhta-Torzhok II on the territory of Russia. This trunk pipeline should provide gas supplies to the coast of the Baltic Sea in the Leningrad region in amounts that are needed for the construction of the Nord Stream II gas pipeline. That is, this is more than 55 billion cubic meters of gas. We are planning to complete the construction of our onshore part at the same time as the commissioning of the offshore section of Nord Stream II gas pipeline, this is the end of 2019," Miller said.
