MOSCOW. Nov 16 (Interfax) - Contacts between security services of Russia and Europe in terms of anti-terrorist efforts have not stopped even during the period of cooler relations, the Russian foreign ministry said on Monday.
"We have serious co-operation present in anti-terrorist activities through the security services; as far as I know, it never stopped even when contacts were interrupted," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov said during hearings in the Federation Council, the upper house of the Russian parliament.
"At any rate, we take some practical measures together with European countries, and also exercise an information exchange on the situation across the globe," he added.
"The level of this co-operation needs to be improved" under the current circumstances, Syromolotov said.
