ANTALYA. Nov 16 (Interfax) - The G20 leaders have released a statement stressing the need to close channels of financing terrorism and boosting cooperation in exchange of information.

The G20 also remains committed to the goal of closing channels of financing terrorism, in particular, by strengthening cooperation in the exchange of information and freezing terrorists' assets, criminalizing the financing of terrorism and using tough targeted financial sanctions on issues relating to counter-terrorism and the financing of terrorism, not least through immediate implementation of the Group's standards for developing financial measures to fight money laundering (the Financial Action Task Force, or FATF) in all jurisdictions, the leaders said in a statement issued after the summit in Antalya.

The G20 leaders urged FATF to determine measures, including legal ones, which could step up the fight against the financing of terrorism, as well as targeted financial sanctions and their application, the statement said.
