Putin shows G20 colleagues images of ISIL fuel tanker convoys stretching to dozens of kilometers

ANTALYA. Nov 16 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has stressed the need to resolutely discontinue the illegal trade in crude oil by ISIL, which has acquired an enormous scale.

"I have shown our colleagues the space and aerial images that clearly show the scale the illegal trade in oil and petroleum products has acquired," Putin told reporters after the G20 summit on Monday.

"Columns of fuel tankers stretched dozens of kilometers, so much so that from an altitude of 4,000-5,000 meters they go beyond the horizon," Putin said.

He likened these columns to pipeline systems.
