MOSCOW. Nov 17 (Interfax) - The Russian Aerospace Forces' air campaign in Syria should be intensified, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.
"Our military work in Syria should not simply continue, but it ought to be intensified in order to let the criminals understand that they will not escape punishment," Putin said at a Russian Security Council meeting, which was held in the Kremlin on Monday.
"I ask the Defense Ministry and the General Staff to present the appropriate suggestions," he said.
Putin also said he would check how this work was being conducted.
