MOSCOW. Nov 27 (Interfax) - A mortar shell hit the Russian Embassy in Damascus for the second time this week, Russian Foreign Minster Sergei Lavrov said.
"I would like to thank the Syrian side for its efforts to maintain the security of our diplomatic mission in Damascus and our nationals in Syria in general. Unfortunately, the need in such measures is persisting and even increasing. On November 23, a mortar shell once again fell in the territory of the embassy," Lavrov said during the meeting with his Syrian counterpart Walid Muallem.
