MOSCOW. Dec 1 (Interfax-AVN) - Concern Aerospace Defense (VKO) Almaz-Antey has completed the supply of S-400 'Triumph' surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems and Buk-M2s, which were due to be delivered in 2015 under a government contract, the company has said.
"Under this year's state defense order, Concern VKO Almaz-Antey has supplied to the Russian Defense Minister a regimental kit - this year's third and the eleventh on the whole - of the S-400 Triumph SAM system. The equipment will enter service in the Central Military District," the company said in a statement obtained by Interfax-AVN on Tuesday.
Also this year, the company handed over three battalions of Buk-M2 medium-range SAM systems commissioned by the government.
"Thus, the company's 2015 contractual obligations to supply S-400 Triumph and Buk-M2 SAM systems to the Russian Defense Ministry have been honored in full," the statement reads.
