Up to 2,000 militants, 120 tonnes of munitions were transferred from Turkey to Syrian terrorist units over the course of one week - Russian Defense Ministry data

MOSCOW. Dec 2 (Interfax) - Turkey has supplied terrorists and weapons for them to Syria for a long time and has no intention of stopping this practice, Sergei Mizintsev, the head of the Russian National Defense Management Center, said.

"According to our accurate reconnaissance data, the Turkish side has been conducting such events for a long time and on a regular basis and the main thing, according to our estimation, is that it does not plan to stop them," he told a briefing on Wednesday.

"Up to 2,000 militants, over 120 tonnes of munitions and some 250 road vehicles of various purpose were transferred from the territory of Turkey to ISIL and Jabhat al-Nusra units in the past week," Mizintsev said.

The general said information possessed by the military on the amounts and routes used by the Turkish side to supply weapons, munitions, explosive substances components, communications devices, and other resources, and also on the training of militants in training camps on the territory of Turkey will be presented to journalists next week.
