Share of modern equipment in Russian army nearing 50% - Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Dec 8 (Interfax-AVN) - The 2015 operational results have enabled the Defense Ministry to increase the number of modern army equipment by 6.2%, Deputy Defense Minister Yury Borisov said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 television channel.

"Today, integrally, the armed forces are estimated to be 47.2% equipped with modern prospective types," Borisov said.
