Russian Foreign Ministry expresses serious concern over reports of coalition bombing of govt troops in Syria (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Dec 8 (Interfax) - Moscow is concerned by the reports of an airstrike carried out by the U.S.-led international coalition against government troops' positions in Syria.

"Moscow is seriously concerned by the reports of an airstrike carried out on December 6 by the U.S.-led coalition against the positions of Syrian government troops near Deir ez-Zor, and the consequences of an air raid against wrong targets near Al-Han in the Syrian al-Hasakah province, which led to significant civilian casualties," the Foreign Ministry said in a commentary posted on its website on Tuesday.

"Overall, these incidents attest that the situation on the front of [the] fight against the so-called Islamic State in Syria and Iraq is heating up," the ministry said.
