Russia will continue fighting terrorists together with Damascus - Lavrov

MUNICH. Feb 12 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Russia will continue fighting terrorism in Syria.

"Clearly, terrorist groups have been excluded from the ceasefire, and therefore we will continue fighting terrorists jointly with the Syrian government," he told reporters in Munich.

"We are hoping that the agreement, that the Americans will work with us in the military sphere, will also help make headway on the task set by the president to form a truly united front to fight terrorism," he said.

Lavrov said the ceasefire scheme, developed in Munich for Syria, "creates a reliable protection from attempts to unilaterally force any decisions."
