KYIV. Feb 24 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian and British Defense Ministries signed a 2016 cooperation plan during the British-Ukrainian military-political consultations that took place in London on February 21-24.

The plan was signed at a meeting between the Ukrainian delegation led by Deputy Defense Minister for European Integration Ihor Dolhov and the British Defense Ministry's International Security Policy Director Nick Herr, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said.

Dolhov has also met with the British Minister of State for the Armed Forces, Penny Mordaunt.

"The parties discussed issues relating to the current state and prospects for further defense cooperation, the military-political situation in Ukraine, the humanitarian aid from the British government, the reform process in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and the development of a legal framework for the bilateral cooperation," the spokesperson said.

Much focus was on special course-based training involving British instructors, educational projects, as well as the work of the British advisor for defense administration and financial management in Ukraine, the spokesperson said.
