MOSCOW. March 2 (Interfax) - Tajik President Emomali Rahmon has discussed military-political cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan with Pakistani army commander Raheel Sharif in Dushanbe.
"We are satisfied with the level of strengthening bilateral military cooperation, which is based on mutual understanding and respect for each other's interests," the Tajik presidential press service has quoted Rahmon as saying.
The sides exchanged opinions on the state and prospects of bilateral political and military relations and emphasizes the importance of cooperation between national armies and law enforcement agencies of Tajikistan and Pakistan in the fight against modern threats and challenges, including terrorism, extremism and drug trafficking.
