BAKU. March 2 (Interfax) - The latest routine monitoring conducted by the OSCE on the contact line between the armies of Azerbaijan and the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic in the Agdam district has ended without incident, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry press service has said in a report.
The monitoring was conducted by field assistants to the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson in Office, Simon Tiller, Khristo Khristov and Peter Svedberg, on the Azerbaijani side, and by field assistants to the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson in Office, Irji Aberle and Yevgeny Sharov, on the Armenian side.
The ceasefire regime in the Karabakh conflict zone was put into place in May 1994. The OSCE organizes regular field monitoring missions on the frontline with the assistance of the personal representative of the OSCE chairperson in office for the purposes of collecting information on the sides' compliance with the truce.
