MOSCOW. March 2 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Ministry denies reports that the ceasefire in Syria will last for only two weeks and insists that the truce must be open-ended, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
"A number of very respectable Western media outlets have started using such a notion as a two-week truce, alleging that it is supposed to end. This is absolutely not so," Zakharova said at a news briefing on Thursday.
"The matter is not about two weeks or some other duration of the truce, but about making sure that it is open-ended. This is what all efforts are focused on," she said.
