Moscow hopes speculations on U.S.' Plan B for Syria to remain mere words - Foreign Ministry spokesperson (Part 2)

MOSCOW. March 2 (Interfax) - Moscow hopes that the U.S.' statements on the existence of some Plan B for Syria will remain mere words, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

"We hope that all statements by a number of high-ranking Washington officials on the existence of some Plan B or other alternative plans for Syria in the event of the resumption of combat actions will remain mere words," Zakharova said at a news briefing on Wednesday.

"We are calling on our American partners to abide by the obligations they have undertaken. It's necessary now to take a very cautious, scrupulous and responsible approach toward the implementation of the Russian-U.S. agreements on the cessation of hostilities in Syria," Zakharova said.
