Russian Aerospace Forces launch operation in Syria much later than EU migration crisis, cannot have relation to it - Defense Ministry

HMEIMIM (Syria). March 2 (Interfax) - The Russian Defense Ministry commented on several more statements by NATO Supreme Allied Commander in Europe General Philip Breedlove that Russia is allegedly turning the migration of refugees to Europe into a weapon and that the use of the Russian aviation in Syria is not characterized by the high precision of ammunition.

"Russia has launched its operation in Syria much later that the already irrupted European migration crisis - on September 30, and, therefore, it cannot have any relation to it," Russian Defense Ministry's spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said in a statement available to Interfax on Wednesday evening.

"And what is most important that the Russian operation resulted in the manifold fall in the number of refugees from Syria recorded by the UN and the launched reconciliation process, which the Western anti-ISIL coalition failed to achieve for the three previous years of imitating the 'fight' against terrorism," the general said.
