Twenty-one instances of militants' shelling of residential communities in Syria recorded in past 24 hrs - Russian military data

MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - The Russian Reconciliation Center in Syria said that 21 instances where residential communities were shelled by militants were recorded in the past 24 hours.

"The most cases have been recorded in the provinces Daraa (5 cases), Damascus (4 cases), Aleppo and Hama (3 cases in each)," the Center said in an information bulletin.

The town of Kinsibba in Syria's Latakia province was shelled with large-caliber artillery at midday. Fire was conducted from a location near Bdama, not far from the Syria-Turkey border. The artillery shelling by terrorists left three local residents killed and eight injured, the Center said.

In addition, TV crews from Russia, Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, Germany, Greece, Italy, Spain, Canada, China and the United States came under fire in the same locality when filming stories about civilians returning to their homes after the ceasefire was announced, according to the Center. Four journalists suffered injuries, it said.

"During the day, militants fired multiple-launch rocket systems on the residential blocks of El Sabil and Al Mantia in the Daraa province and Karia, Al Mufakara, Shakri, Al Salmiya in the Hama province. There are some demolitions," the Center said

The residential areas of Qub, Al-Alman-Fu (the Hama province), Al-Jamjamiyah, Zugara (the Aleppo province), Zaria and Kafr Nan (the Homs province) also came under artillery fire.

Militants of Jabhat al-Nusra (the international terrorist organization, banned in Russia) attempted another offensive against government troops near Narb Nafsa, the Homs province.
