DONETSK. March 3 (Interfax) - Militia forces from the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) claim that a shell hit a local school building as the Ukrainian army opened fire on the village of Zaytseve.
"A direct hit at the school in the village of Zaytseve has been recorded. Representatives of the OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe), the JCCC (Joint Center for Control and Coordination) and Eduard Basurin of the DPR Defense Ministry, are currently en route to the scene," a DPR Defense Ministry spokesman told Interfax on Thursday.
The village of Zaytseve is a north-western suburb of the Donetsk region's town of Horlivka, located near the contact line in the armed conflict area in Donbas.
