Residential building burns down in western district of Donetsk in Ukrainian army attack - source

DONETSK. March 3 (Interfax) - A residential building burned down in the frontline zone, in the western area of Donetsk as result of a Ukrainian army attack, the Donetsk news agency said, with reference to a source in the law enforcement authorities of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

"The Ukrainian army shelled the Petrovskyi district last night. A residential building burned down on Amudaryinska Street," the source told the Donetsk news agency.

The Ukrainian army fired mortars, grenade launchers and small arms, he said.

In turn, the head of the Petrovskyi district administration told the news agency that a DPR serviceman suffered a shrapnel wound during the attack.

The source told the Donetsk news agency that the incident was reported to the OSCE mission monitors, who "intended to send a patrol to the area."
