MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin, and his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Rahimpour, have discussed bilateral relations, as well as the situation in Ukraine, Central Asia and Transcaucasia.
"The sides discussed certain aspects of Russian-Iranian relations, as well as key issues on the regional agenda. They also compared the two sides' approaches towards the Caspian agenda, the situation in Ukraine, Central Asia and Transcaucasia," the Russian Foreign Ministry said, in a report published on its website on Thursday.
The meeting was held during Karasin's visit to Tehran, on March 2.
The diplomats agreed to continue regular exchanges of opinions in the form of consultations as part of the implementation of the Foreign Ministries' Protocol on Cooperation for 2015-2018, the ministry said.
