Moscow expects Pyongyang to make right conclusions from UN Security Council resolution, return to negotiations - Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - Russia hopes that North Korea will make appropriate conclusions from the UN Security Council resolution and will return to the negotiations on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"We hope North Korea will take this decision appropriately, make the right conclusions and return to the negotiating table to settle the nuclear problem of the Korean Peninsula based on the September 19, 2005 joint statement by the participants in the six-party process and in the context of promoting common military-political detente in Northeast Asia, dismantling the confrontational infrastructure, and forming efficient international legal security mechanisms," the ministry said in a commentary on the adoption of the UN Security Council resolution on North Korea on Thursday.
