MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - The new resolution of the UN Security Council on North Korea is adamant; it reflects an international opinion that missile and nuclear weapon games are inadmissible, the Russian Foreign Ministry has said.
"The new resolution is rather firm. But this is a forced measure as, for ten years, North Korea has been blatantly ignoring the demands made by the UN Security Council resolutions 1695, 1718, 1874, 2087 and 2094, compelling Pyongyang to immediately stop its missile and nuclear programs," the ministry's information and press department said in a commentary published on the ministry website.
"Notably, resolutions passed by the UN Security Council are mandatory for all UN member countries," it said.
