War in Donbas claims over 9,000 lives - UN

KYIV. March 3 (Interfax) - The conflict in eastern Ukraine has taken 9,167 lives, and another 21,044 people have suffered injuries, says a report of the Office on the UN High Commissioner on Human Rights dedicated to human rights in Ukraine.

In the period from the middle of April 2014 till February 15, 2016, the office registered 30,211 casualties in the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine (including civilians, Ukrainian Army Servicemen and members of armed units), 9,167 of them were killed, and 21,044 were wounded, says the document read out at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.
