MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - Mikhail Bogdanov, Special Representative of the Russian President for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister, and French Ambassador in Moscow, Jean-Maurice Ripert, have discussed the implementation of the Syria truce and the resumption of negotiations due on March 9.
"The interlocutors exchanged opinions on the developments inside and around Syria, with an emphasis on the compliance with the truce regime and the resumption of intra-Syrian negotiations in Geneva in line with resolutions 2254 and 2268 of the UN Security Council," says the report published on the Russian Foreign Ministry website.
The meeting was initiated by the French side.
It was reported earlier, that the intra-Syrian negotiations were planned to resume in Geneva, on March 9.
